Ben & Jerry Chunkfest 2011

Went to Ben & Jerry Chunkfest earlier on at Marina Bay.

The ground was very muddy :(

We tried 2 of the 11 flavours which were specially flown over from overseas for the event.

Coconut something (can't rem e name) and Froyo choco brownie.
Both are awesome but I prefer the coconut one.

Some of the merchandises which were selling at Phish Market.

Faircoins were used at Chunkfest instead of cold hard cash.

One scoop of ice cream cost 6 coins and 2 scoops at 10 coins ($6 and $10).

It's quite easy to be a Chunkpion except for the silly games.

I managed to collect 3 achievements.

1) Try an exclusive flavour

3) Buy some euphoric gear at Phish Market

Awesome August

August was one of the best months so far in 2011.

Went bali for the boy's birthday (which I will blog it as a seperate entry) and I finally broke up with my ex employer and found a new career path.

Say hello to the many weekends that I've missed and many more to come!!

And of cos, I've been enjoying my weekends to the fullest.

I attended NDP 2011 which is also the first NDP that I ever went in my life.
It's really an eye opener.

I joined in the fun and dressed up in red + white

We dropped by Cold Rock for some yummy ice-cream before heading to Marina Floating Bay.

We were sitted at 5pm and waited for 1 hour under the hot sun before the parade started.

I shall not spam you with photos (except for the fireworks) from NDP since my entry is really outdated and I believe you have already seen nicer photos from facebook etc.

Happy Belated Birthday Singapore!

Jeff found a new place for Jap Buffet and brought me there for a mini celebration for my new job. Together with the satellite gf and xpy, we had a satisfying dinner at Kiseiki (The Heeren B1).

Even though I'm still quite sad that Shokudo is gone for good at Raffles City and The Heeren, I hope that Kiseiki is here to stay for good cos I really love it!

Joyous July Part II (Yx's bday & Mint Toy Museum)

I have the pressure to finish blogging about July before Aug comes to an end, but I will keep it short and simple. Erm, Im just being lazy. haha

Met up with Yanxuan and Ben for yx's bday dinner on the last week of July.
Thanks to darling Lily for her Tung Lok vouchers, we enjoyed the $50 off our bill at Tung Lok Signatures. heh

I think we ordered a little too much for 3pax, we also had soup and dessert which are not included in the collage below.

I'm officially going to be a 8.30am to 6pm OL from tomorrow onwards.

Kinda looking forward to the new challenges ahead of me.

Gone are the burnt weekends and I will welcome my weekends with more JB trips and mj sessions i suppose? Or maybe squeeze with the crowd at Orchard? Or I can slack my weekends away camping drama series.

Alright, I need to sleep early tonight otherwise I will have a hard time waking up early tmr morning.

Joyous July Part I (Two Chefs Eating Place & Malacca Celup)

July was a joyous month, probably because of the HK trip and also because I've gathered my courage to do something which I've been wanting to do since last year. It's a secret for now.

Went Two Chefs Eating Place at Commonwealth with my colleagues one fine evening. It was my 2nd time there and I totally love it. It's situated in a coffeeshop and it's not that easy to find even though I'm staying in the west. Not a walking distance from MRT station too.

The number one dish at Two Chefs is Butter Pork Ribs, please order the largest portion.

Took some photos while waiting for the dishes to arrive.

Even though the place was crowded during dinner time, the food arrived rather fast. Less than 10 mins of waiting time.

The dishes are ranked according to my personal preference:

1. Butter pork ribs
The butter powder sprinkled over the pork ribs made it a very unqiue dish.

2. Vege with egg, salted egg and century egg

3. Fried prawn served with mayonnaise

4. Golden Mushroon Beancurd

5. Gong Bao Chicken (Stirred fried diced chicken)

6. Drunken Cockles
(I ranked this last not because that it's not nice, it's just that i don't like garlic and cockles. However this is also one of the must-have dishes at Two Chefs)

It was really a satisfying dinner for all of us. Thank god commonwealth is just a 15mins drive from my place. I guess I will frequent Two chefs at least once a month *keeping fingers crossed*

On the very same week, I went Malacca Celup (Satay Hotpot) with BBFs. It's a long waited triple date which was not easy to organise due to family commitments and work schedule for all of us.

We bought a deal from groupon, $9.45 for the satay hotpot cuisine buffet at faraway east coast.

Not exactly a wide variety of choices for the buffet but decent enough for $9.45

Hopefully a triple date overseas trip will happen next year. Krabi maybe? heh.

I hope i didn't make anybody's stomach to growl with my mini food post. opps.

Greetings from Bali! I'm grateful for the free wifi at the villa, I can't imagine life without Internet for 4days 3 nights.

On the contrary, the boy would prefer no wifi at the villa so that I can give him more attention rather than spending time with my iPhone when I wake up and before I go to bed.

32nd Monthsary + Double date with bestie

It was our 32nd Monthsary the very next day when I returned to SG from HK and both of us took leave to spend quality time together.

The day began with brunch at Toast Box. The outlet at West Coast Plaza is well decorated and I really love it! It's the nicest Toast Box that I've came across in SG.

I was irritated with Jeff cos he kept saying that I put on weight during my HK trip. booo.

Headed to Sentosa after brunch as we had tickets to 4D Magix and Desperado.

We started off with 4D Magix first, thank god we didn't had to join the long queue for the tickets

Please do not expect much from 4D Magix, I didn't even feel any 4D effect

Desperado was quite fun!

I was the first runner-up during round 1. Just when I was feeling vey proud of myself, Jeff won the title of first place during round 2. sheesh...

I'm always tempted to buy one of those cute tees at Hershey's but the inferior material never fail to make me drop the idea. People may think that I bought the tee at Bangkok which look like its $6 instead of $29.90.

Met up with Cindy and Weiming for dinner at Sizzler.

I love the wide spread at the salad bar ($19.90/comes free with every main course). The mushroom soup + croutons are to die for! And also the free flow cheesy garlic bread. Yum

Let me back track a little from July to June before stepping into Aug.

Had a date with the boy at Keppel Bay. TCC was having 1 for 1 main course back then. I would love to patronise Prive the next time I'm at Keppel Bay *obvious hint to my boyfriend*

The menu for the outlet at Keppel Bay is slightly different from the rest and i was really upset that my fav hazelnut milkshake is not available.

Bumped into dearest Ruru at TCC

The best thing to do after a hearty dinner is to take a stroll to digest the food

Jeff was busy trying out the different modes on his DSLR but appearantly he's still not very good at it. Opps.

Hopefully he can take good pictures with his DSLR during our Bali trip next week otherwise i'm going to shame him and his Canon 600D with my S95 which is so much smaller, compact and takes great pictures. heh

Finally had a XTT Gathering in June! It's almost a full attendence this time round.

Dinner was at Lenas, my first time there and i will definitely go back soon for more thin crisp pizza.

I like the bacon and ham pizza with egg!

I feel a little old to continue blogging actually. I can't imagine myself blogging 5 years later. I would be in my 30s and I wonder who would be interested to read my blog by then? But at least I still have all my memories in this space with me till I grow old.

Hk Summer Sale Getaway Part III

Day 3:

The itinerary for the day began with Causeway bay, Tsim Sha Tsui and then Mongkok again to end the night.

Breakfast was settled at one of the Zha Chan Ting at Causeway Bay. We made in just in time for breakfast before it starts to serve lunch at 11am.

The instant noodles with clear satay soup base was awesome!
Even the bread toast and scrambled eggs that came with it were damn good!

My first purchase of the day
(and also the most expensive one during the trip)

Tried on a dress at H&M and I really like it very much!

We were dead tired by the time we reached Tsim Sha Tsui even though we went back to our hotel to put our shopping bags after shopping at Causeway Bay.
I swear I didn't buy a lot at all just that the Miu Miu bag is really heavy.

Had a quick dinner at Spaghetti House.
My first time there even though HK wasn't a stranger to me.

The night ended at 10+pm instead of the usual 12am. We were too tired to carry on shopping anymore. Our legs were on the verge of breaking and our shoulders nearly fall apart.

The fun part of the holiday is shopping but the dreadful part is the packing.

I had a hard time packing all this mess (this is only half of the mess)

My achievements for day 3:

1) Apparels from H&M
2) Rose slippers from Tsim Sha Tsui
(I bought it for my Bali trip next month but my bf says that its ugly :( )
3) Laneige eye masks from Sasa

4) Scallops (original flavour) from Aji Ichiban.

Some outlets have a better promo, buy 2 get 1 free at HKD380 per packet.
HK Airport is selling HDK380 per packet, buy 4 at HKD1300.
The buy 2 get 1 free promo is cheaper so keep a look out for it if you are keen to buy :)

5) iPad soft case from Chocoolate

6) Miu Miu Bow Tote
I saved approx SGD500 from buying this baby at HK.
I'm lovin it!
(even though it's still inside the dust bag lying in my room)

Day 4:

It's always hard to say goodbye :(

Our last breakfast in HK

Headed to Langham Place for last minute shopping, and yes we managed to buy some items. hehe

G2000 is so much cheaper in HK as compared to SG.
I bought the black crochet dress for only HKD199 which is a sale price (approx SGD31) and SG is actually selling at $69.90 less 30% (G2000 having sale now).
Now i regretted for not buying the exact piece in white.
When in doubt I should really just buy.

Muji is also much cheaper in HK, its like buying Muji in Japan.
The bag organiser is selling at $36 in SG and I only bought it for HKD185 which is approx SGD30.

I love my new polka dot umbrella but its really a hassle bringing it back from HK.

I was grumbling about my constipation during my trip and the sweet boyfriend actually surprised me with yoghurt and kiwi when he came to pick me at the Airport. It sort of made up for his absence during the trip ♥

HK is fun, especially the 买东西吃东西 part.

I will be back in 2012, and this time round hopefully with Jeffrey.

Hk Summer Sale Getaway Part II

Day 2:

Woke up early to yum cha at London Restaurant
(Good Hope Building, 612 Nathan Road, Mongkok MTR Exit E2)

It's a must-visit restaurant for me whenever I go HK.

Next on the itinerary is Space Warehouse
(Prada and Miu Miu warehouse)
We took bus 590 from Central MTR Station
The journey was a little torturing with a bus ride of approx 30mins and the walk to the bus terminal is approx 15mins.

Please take a cab and don't torture yourself under the hot sun.

I managed to convince myself to buy a prada bag there so that I won't waste my effort to travel there. But no regrets at all cos its really cheap.

No photo taking is allowed with a camera but iphone is allowed. haha

We went back to hotel to put our shopping bags before we set off to Arglye Centre (旺角中心). Sad to say that Argyle Centre doesn't interest me as much when as before. Only bought 3 apparels there and all of them are casual. I guess I prefer to buy office wear now or at least smart casual.

Had a lousy pedicure session at this place:

I don't think its even considered a pedicure session cos my toe nails were not trimmed or scrubbed or whatsover. I paid HKD298 for just painting my toe nails with gel paint (i dont know what Hongkies call it there) and its the paint is the lousiest that I've ever come across in my life that I removed and did a new coat when I'm back in SG.

The day ended with broken legs and aching shoulders.

Hk Summer Sale Getaway Part I

My yearly Hongkong trip this time round was with my colleagues. It was quite an impromtu trip actually. But nevertheless its a fruitful shopping trip! I'm already looking forward to plan a HK trip next year. Heh.

Day 1:

Took Jetstar as usual and there was a slight delay of 25mins which is also my first encounter of flight delay with Jetstar.

Introducing Wendy and Rhonda

Wendy is like the 大姐大 in this trip to take care of us as Rhonda and I are very lousy with directions and we are blur most of the time. I'm the lousiest cos' i cant speak or understand cantonese at all. Shame on me for being a Cantonese. Maybe I should start watching HK drama to brush up my cantonese.

The first thing that we did once we collected our baggage was to purchase a prepaid card. HKD198 with HKD180 value. Data is at HKD2/mb, capped at HKD18 which means that you can have unlimited data usage for just HDK18 per day.

I surfed the net, whatsapp, tweet, facebook whenever I wanted, no restrictions at all.

We hopped on A21 at the airport bus terminal which dropped us directly outside Metropark Mongkok Hotel

My third time staying at Metropark Mongkok Hotel but it's my first time at Deluxe Room. It's rather spacious for the 3 of us (considering that HK hotels are small generally) even with the extra bed added into the room.

By the time we settled down and set off for dinner at shopping, its already 6pm :(

Went for early dinner at a random 茶餐厅at Mongkok. Wanted to look for Modern Toilet Restaurant at Mongkok but appearantly it's closed for good.

The scallop fried rice with XO sauce was damn good!

Spent the evening shopping at Langham Place for H&M, Chocoolate and Shu Uemura.

I was really excited over Chocoolate X Hello Kitty and it happened to launch on 8th Jul (my first day at HK).

Check out the queue for Chocoolate X Hello Kitty. Instead of getting the Hello Kitty range over the shelves/racks, customers were requested to queue up to place their order.

I've spent enough at Chocoolate to get the Hello Kitty free gifts! So CUTE!

Day 1 was fun despite shopping only in the evening.

Awesome hongkong

Hongkong has been great so far except for some new zits on my face, leaking air con and the humid weather.

Constipation is my greatest enemy when I'm overseas. It never fail to happen to me when I'm out of sg. The bottles of yakult didn't help at all :(

Flying back to Singapore tmr night. Can't wait to see the boyfriend at the airport.

I'm back!

My desktop is up and running again! And I've finally get out of Windows XP after using it for so many donkey years (since poly days) and now my desktop is running on Windows 7. hehe
All thanks to the satellite gf for 'sycoing' me.

Im flying to Hongkong this friday with my colleagues for a 4d3n trip. Hopefully I can squeeze out a post before I fly (after im done packing).

My desktop has gone bonkers and im trying hard to back up all my data to my hard disk before the are gone for good. but its really hard to back up when my desktop prompt me to restart after using it for a few mins. sigh.

I hope all my photos and songs can be backed up properly.

im actually blogging with my slow netbook now. for once i've put my netbook into good use.

i still very much prefer to surf net with a 21.5 inch screen than a 10inch.

Bangkok Trip 25 to 28 Feb 2011 (Finale)

Soon enough it's the last day of our double date trip.

We woke up very early to have breakfast at Baiyoke Sky Hotel. I think it's 450baht pax. Or was it 500baht?

I stole Jeff's cap and he was grumbling throughout the whole breakfast saying that I should bring my own cap to bangkok. Oh well, I didnt expect myself to go for breakfast with my naked face and unwashed hair so can't blame me right?

We went to pratunam market for a 30mins walk before heading back to our hotel room for a nap. It wasn't too hard to pack my luggage this time round since I didn't buy a lot. In fact I bought quite little things as compared to my usual bangkok trips.

It's never easy to bid goodbye to Bangkok

We paid 800baht for the mini van that is provided by The Boutique Place to make our way to the airport. Cannot be bothered to flag a cab which is willing to fetch 4 of us with our baggage.

My baggage weight increased by only 1.5kg! haha.

But i don't know how heavy was my hand carry baggage though.

Finally get to sit with my dear boy.

We were seperated on the plane towards bkk and for most of the taxi rides.

Since when my nationality is Malaysian?

My humble loots from the trip:

Most of my home clothes were bought from Jatuchak Market, casual clothes from Platinium Mall, lingerie from Wacoal, Elle and Playboy and orthodontics care from Watsons>

I found a toothbrush which is for braces and now i can brush as like normal with the 'special' toothbrush. YAY!

BFFs, let's plan for a triple date trip for 2012! Love you girls!

Bangkok Trip 25-28 Feb 2011 (Part II)

Day 3

The day supposed to start off earlier for Jatuchak Market but the couple next door mixed up SG and BKK time difference when setting alarm the night before which gave jeff and I some time to camwhore in the room while waiting for them to prepare.

I love my straw hat! Bought it from Platinium Mall for 200baht i think. But it has been collecting dust at jeff's house since 28 Feb.

We went to the Mcdonalds' right across our hotel and the run down place gave us a shock

We were wearing couple Redbull and Coca Cola singlets :)

Jeff seemed to be hungry again even though he was just complaining that he's bloated like 30mins ago?

The perfect weather for shopping

The boy was tempted to buy a straw hat and he did

Jatuchak is so big and messy as usual that we lost Lifen and Stanley 1 hour later. I love the wide variety of things that are selling over there, at least Jeff didn't get bored of seeing clothes and clothes again like Platinium Mall.

The BEST thing that happened when the sun reappeared behind the grey clouds.

It's like our saviour from the humid weather.

The coconut ice-cream came with a free cup of coconut juice. How thoughtful is that?

When you know that nobody/nothing can save you from the heat anymore, you need to run escape. And thank god we managed to hail a cab with metre on within 5mins.

We went back to Healthland Spa at Sathorn for the long waited 2 hours traditional thai massage. Despite making reservation, we waited for about 30mins for our turn but its totally worth it. Ever since i tried the massage at Healthland Spa in 2010 with my colleagues, I don't want to go anywhere else for massage.

Healthland Spa looks like a 5 star hotel on the outside with about 8 levels in the whole building, nice reception, awesome service, clean rooms, elevator, clean bedsheets and clean clothes for you to change into. Totally can't wait for our massage!

It's a pity that Lifen can't do any massage at all due to her baby. It's another perfect excuse to go bangkok again tog in 2012. The next best excuse is to visit the new Suan Lum Night Market which is estimated to be rebuilt and relocated in 2012. hehe

Went back to the hotel to prepare and meet up with our beloved travelmates for dinner at MBK. We were famished by then.

Jeff and Stan sneaked off to the 'toilet' and bought a surprise bday cake for me.

It was rather late after some shopping at MBK, we didnt had time to go Plaza 29 and Bonaza Plaze. But thank god we managed to spent about 15mins in Naraya before the sales asst began to chase us away at 9pm sharp.

I think I'm a little addicted to hats.

Bangkok Trip 25-28 Feb 2011 (Part I)

My yearly bangkok trip was made possible with my loved ones this year. It's a double date trip with Lifen, Stanley and Jeffrey. (Let's triple date in 2012 tog with ruru!)

Day 1

Our baggage weight before the trip

Mine: 12.4kg
Jeff: 11.0kg

We had a quick bite at Texas Chicken and surprisingly the chicken is better than KFC's.

But it's a pity that i can't really enjoy the chicken as my braces was only on for 4 days and I had difficulty chewing properly. Mashed potato was my best friend for many meals at fast food restaurants.

There was a 30mins flight delay which let us have more time for shopping. I wonder if its a good or bad thing cos Lifen and I spent money even before the trip on SK2 masks and I bought powder from MAC and concealer from Estee Lauder. Tsk tsk.

Somehow we didn't check our seating properly and the poor boy ended up sitting alone by himself with strangers!

But thank god its only a short 2 hours flight

It's my first time travelling with Air Asia and I would prefer Jetstar anytime even though both of them depart at Terminal 1. We had to take a bus after alighting from the plane to get to the immigration counter. goodness.

We checked in at The Boutique Place, quickly settled down and head out for dinner at Somboon. It's my fav restaurant at Bangkok.

My travel mates were very kind to me. Knowing that I can't eat anything which is difficult to chew, they didn't mind ordering soft food so that I can eat at ease :)

The coconut frappe is a dope! Please try it when you are there.

We headed to Suan Lum Night Market after the sumptuous dinner only to realise that it's closed and will be relocated in 2012. All of us were very disappointed.

This time round i asked myself at least 3 times if i need/want it before purchasing it. I'm so proud of myself otherwise i would be bringing lots of junk back to SG and collecting dust at one corner.

Finally had some time for late lunch after so much shopping.
The boys wanted a break to be spared from their misery too. haha

The Begin of My Journey to Braces

It was a very impromtu decision to put on braces depsite considering about it for 6 years. Yes, its 6 long years. I don't have that kind of money when I was 20yrs old. But when I started working, I felt that I was too old for braces.

But 1 month ago, Chloe and Cindy were discussing had a braces conversation in Twitter and that's when I was tempted to put on braces again.

I randomly called Alfred Cheng Orthodontic Clinic to make an appointment 5 days later for consultation.

The whole procedure was really fast and furious.

On the day of consultation (which is also Vday), I made up my mind to put braces, seperators were placed in my teeth, went for xray and did a mould of my teeth, make payment of $535 and scheduled for extraction + braces 7 days later. Yes, its extraction and braces on the same day with 3 hours interval in between.

I was really nervous while waiting for my turn for the extraction. Many of my friends told me that the extraction doesnt feel a thing at all but its the INJECTION that hurts.

The end product of the extraction: (warning: not for the faint hearted)

I wanted to keep them as memory but decided not after 1 week cos it will just ended up somewhere in a corner of my room, decaying and smelling weird.

After the extraction was done, I was very worried that the bleeding won't stop by 3pm and I have to put braces another day, which means that I have to livewith the 4 empty 'holes' without any metal covering it.

Thank god the bleeding stopped in time. phew!

The whole process of putting on the braces took about 45mins or so.

In summary:

9th Feb - called to make appointment

14th Feb - consultation, xray, mould, seperators

21st Feb - extraction + braces on

Jeffrey was nice enough to take leave and accompanied me throughout the day, from extraction to putting on braces and buying dinner for me.

And thanks for your fake morale support cos I know you dont want me to put braces, but thanks anyway! hahaha!

♥ Vday 2011 ♥

It's quite depressing that Vday was on a Monday this year, but i guess its better than 2010 whereby Vday was on CNY day 1.

We had a ~~sort of~~ pre-vday celebration at jeff's place on a Sat. He took some effort to whip up a simple dinner for me while I was playing mahjong at Chloe's place with Xiaoyuan and Kenneth. haha.

He was still busy preparing when I reached his place and I was STARVING. Blame him for taking a 30mins nap in between. boooooo (okay, just kidding. I know its hard work)

Erm the 'seafood' feast

1) Mushroom Soup
2) Topshell
3) Seafood pasta with tomato base (crab meat and prawns)

The dinner wasn't too bad though not it's not fantastic.
But I gave him 10/10 becos of the effort he put in and he went all the way to JB in the afternoon to collect my bouquet of chip(s) & dale(s) !!!

I'm the happiest girl in Singapore ~~for 5mins~~ !

I'm not willing to let Jeff to spend money on a vday dinner with an exorbitant price. We settled our dinner at Nanxing Steamed Bun Restaraunt becos I have a coupon that I bought from http://www.bigdeal.sg/ for $26 but worth $40.

The signature dish is the huge xiao long bao.
But I'm more impressed with the salted egg yolk prawns!

I guess the next best thing to do on a Monday night after a dinner is to catch a movie?
And yes, we did.

It's totally perfect for Vday.
I still love Jennifer Aniston even though she has really aged quite a bit.

And becos it's Vday, we tried to make the boring Monday night a little special by chilling awhile at TCC after the movie.

But after he met the female bear (me), his love, happiness and energy level became 100% and he has trophies of being the most happy, most lovable and most exciting bear.

Chinese New Year 2011

It's the season of receiving red packets and snack on junk food without feeling guilty. My fav snacks are ba gua (BBQ pork slice) and chiku (arrowhead chips). Can't get enough of them! I'm still snacking on them even CNY is officially over. heh.

Went to my uncle's place for dinner gathering on Day 1 as usual. Thank god I have the boy's companion for the past few years otherwise I would be rotting as usual, watching tv and snacking.

And unexpectedly, we were the first few to reach!

No photos taken at my uncle's place as he's the official camera man that evening. haha

We went to River Ang Pow with my cousin Melvin and his gf randomly. My cousin actually never heard of River Ang Power before in his whole life. tsk tsk.

We reached River Ang Pow rather late at about 10.30pm but it took us only 30mins to finish walking the entire place and another 20mins spent at the food section (long queue!).

I rotted on Day 2 without food as my Mum was staying over at my Brother's place. I felt like a lost child. That's when i kinda regretted for not going visiting with jeff, esp the red packets that day was somehow higher than expected.

He brought me for dinner at Xi Men Ding located at Vivocity.

I was rather impressed with the food when I was there on the first time amd decided to patronise it again on CNY for chinese food.

Check out the boyfriend's 'black' face as we were having an arguement before the dinner. haha

The egg pancake is a must try! it's very filling as its rather thick, good to share with 4 person.

I had minced meat rice, salted pepper chicken and a few other dishes (which i can't rem) the other time and all of them are GOOD.

Caught I Love Hongkong to have more feel for CNY. ha

Day 3 was spent with ,y beloved SIM friends, photos in facebook as I don't have the soft copy.
The photographer didn't send us the photos. hmm..
Played Blackjack at ch's place and MJ-ed till late night.

Day 5 started with CNY lunch with my company at The Seafood International Market and Restaurant. But sad to say, half of my team were on leave/overseas :(
Tthe awesome lunch filled up the sad empty spaces though.

Blackjack-ed again with my colleagues after that!
(it's a non-working day afterall. haha)

Met up with Tus family for dinner at Vivocity.
What's CNY without steamboat?

My virgin visit to Bei Shang Chuan and it's not too bad.
The steamboat for students are only $13.90++ on Mon-Thurs and its only $18 pax (inclusive of taxes + drinks)

Fried man tous are served there too! but too bad it's served without condensend milk

But the fried man tous are all freshly fried, hot and cripsy on the outside and soft inside.

It's not surprising that I'm only blogging about Jan when its Feb now, but at least its still early Feb now.

The new year began with slacking at The Fullerton Hotel with the boyfriend and his friends. It's Keith's Bday Celebration and also to welcome 2011.

I love the room!!!
I would love to stay there again but I can't think of any occasion.
The next best/suitable occasion would be our 3rd year anni since vday is out, my bday would be at USS and his bday would be at Bali.

I believe the room is much more specious than Marina Bay Sands.

It was an chaotic night with me puking all over. Shall spare you the details. hahaha
Big thank you to jeff for taking care of me the whole night!

The next big event in Jan was Lifen's 26th Bday celebration.
She's the first to turn 26 yrs old among the 3 of us and the next to grow old is me :(

We bought something from Samantha Thavasa Petite range for her bday and all of us bought the same thing together (again!)

(side track, I was wearing my new Fred Perry Dress and I'm lovin' it!)

It's a lovely card holder with heart shape prints. I have a soft spot with shimmery items. haha

It's my new ezlink card holder now.
I'm using it without the gold chain though cos its rather heavy.

Christmas 2010

I know Chinese New Year is approaching real soon (less than 12 hours) and its a tad too late for me to post about Christmas, but late is better than never!

Will do a brief entry for christmas 2010 for my own reference in future. that's the purpose of blogging i guess, at least for me.

The first group of friends that I met up with is BBFs! As I will be away at Tokyo during X'mas, i met them rather early, on the 2nd week of Dec at MOF.

Tokyo Trip Part VIII - Day 8 (Ikebukuro, Narita Airport) - Last Day

I was having mixed feelings during the last day of my trip. On one hand I knew that I will board the flight back to SG with a heavy heart but on the other hand I'm missing the warm weather in sg, my friends, home and my data plan for iphone.

I can only blame myself for buying so many things that I ended up with so many bags.
Or maybe I can push the blame to jeff for not stopping me from buying.
It's a total of 6 bags (including the sling bag that I was carrying)

Thanks Cheryl for lending me her blue foldable bag which came in handy.

One thing I dislike about Tokyo is the lack of lifts and escalators at the train station.

Can you imagine we have to lug all these bags up and down on many flight of stairs?

And to make things worse, most of the stairs look like this:

Jeff and I nearly died from carrying so many things at one go.
And being lazy, I don't like the idea of climbing up and down the stairs and take 1 or 2 bags at a time. Somehow I managed to carry a few bags at one go (including my baggage) and climbed a few flight of stairs.

My arms were on the verge of breaking by the time we boarded the Narita Express to the Airport.

Taking a break on Narita Express train and muching on the Rilakkuma snack that I bought from Daiso. It's a pity that I didn't buy a few more back cos it's niceee! and I refuse to buy it in sg cos it's only 100yen (approx SGD1.50) in Tokyo.

We finally reached Narita Airport after 1 hour and 30mins,

The shopping at Narita Airport terminal 1 is not too bad, i don't know about terminal 2 though. Didn't had the time to go terminal 2 at all.

We bought last min snacks (mochi, chocolates, biscuits etc) at the airport and grabbed a quick bite at Mcdonald's for the 2nd time of the day.

There was a plane delay for about 30mins. But despite the delay, we were the last few to board the plane. haha. All thanks to the boyfriend who was still shitting inside the toilet even when the last call announcement was being made 3 times. I was actually a little panic while waiting for him at the depature gate and I tried calling him while he was happily in his own world inside the toilet but to no avail.
He claimed that he didn't hear the announcements. oh wells...

We were too full to eat but we still did

I managed to finish watching Charlie St Cloud and drooled over Zac Efron. hehe

Spent $347 at DFS when I alighted from the plane :(

The moment I stepped out of Changi Airport, I felt the heat, the heat that I was missing for the past 8 days. That was the first ever time that I actually missed the warm weather in SG after freezing for so many days at Tokyo with flaking skin and rashes.

My loots for the day (excluding the snacks that I've bought) :
1) Muji small bag organiser
2) Hada Labo moisturiser (I like it so much that I asked Cindy to help me another 2 more durng her trip to stock up)
3) Chacott loose powder

Tsubaki Hair Set (supposed to be 4 bottles but I took 1 out to use)

It's a pity that I've come to an end of my 8 days 7 nights Tokyo Trip. I would love to visit Japan in the near future to visit other areas like Hokkaido, Osaka etc.

Japan is definitely 1 of my fav countries. I love the people, culture and not forgetting the food over there.

1 thing I like about Tokyo's train stations is that food and drinks are allowed! I can drink a hot cup of soup while waiting for the train to arrive and continue drinking it inside the train.

As it's my first Japan trip, I took the planning of this trip very seriously. Usually I will just print out my itinerary, fold it and chuck it inside my bag. But this time round I bought a notebook, cut and pasted the printed itinerary inside the notebook.

I hope to visit Japan soon, preferably during March to see sakura.

Tokyo Trip Part VII - Day 7 (Tokyo Tower, Shinjuku, Harajuku)

I wore my new heart prints tights that i bought from Harajuku and I'm lovin' it!
The heart prints tights is more like a thick stocking.
I was wearing Uniqlo HeatTech stockings underneath the tights to keep myself warm as the weather was really cold.

We got really sick and of the buffet breakfast spread provided by the hotel and decided to head out to grab some breakfast at any of the fast food restaurant.

Wanted to try out MOS Burger but some of the items on the menu are not available and we settled for Lotteria instead. But it's a wise choice afterall.

I guess Japanese really love cheese? Most of their snacks are filled with cheese.

After our hearty breakfast, we took JR line to Hamamatsucho st Station and walked to Tokyo Tower.

It's very easy to find cos Tokyo Tower is tall and very visible even from far.

Headed to Shinjuku after so many days at Tokyo.

The first place that we went to at Shinjuku is Takashimaya. But I don't like quite like the Takashimaya at Shinjuku. It's actually rather small but with many levels. I prefer the Takashimaya in Singapore, the stuffs are more exciting here actually.

The only thing I like about Takashimaya is the food section at the basement

We rested our tired feet at a random Takopachi stall near the entrance of Lumine

Not a fan of takopachi in general but somehow I kinda like it.

The sky turned dark again very early but it made the chrismas lightings more beautiful

It's felt extremely good to drink the hot potato soup when i was freezing.

We could have gone to other places that we missed out, like Ginza or the First Avenue at Tokyo Station but we chose to go Harajuku AGAIN. This is how much we love Harajuku.

3 times of Harajuku in 7days is madness but we weren't sick of the place at all.
Not even when we didn't buy anything on the 3rd time when we were there.

Had our late dinner at Ikebukuro for the 1235345436 times in our trips.
I realised we had our dinner every night at Ikebukuro and nowhere else. haha

Dinner was at Seiryu .
It's actually very packed considering that it was a Monday and everybody was still eating and drinking even at 10.45pm

3) Pizza (but i cant rem what pizza)

5) Beer

Seiryu is my fav restuarant in Tokyo despite the fact that there isn't any non-smoking area and i'm stinked with all the smoke from the cigarettes. but I kinda like the rowdy atmosphere and the FOOD!

My new found Calbee love in bacon but I forgot to buy a few more back to sg :(

My ONLY buys for the day.

Tokyo Trip Part VI - Day 6 (Ikebukuro, Uneo, Ameyokocho, Asakusa, Akihabara, First Avenue Tokyo Station)

Before we knew it, its already the 6th day of our trip.
It's quite depressing to count down the days to the end of the Tokyo trip.

As the dept stores are opened rather early at 10am, we decided to shop around Ikebukuro before heading to other places. Repeated places like Seibu and Parco as we were in a rush on day 1 and missed out some sections and headed to Sunshine City after that.

But sad to say I didn't buy anything from the Mono Comme Ca though I was tempted to buy a cute backpack from there but I already have a polka dot backpack from Mono Comme Ca 1 yr+ ago and figured out that I don't need a backpack at all now.

Kinda regret not buying it as a souvenir. haha

We headed back to our hotel to put the heavy stuffs and set off for lunch nearby.
It's actually just a few units away from the hotel.

There's a vending machine near the entrance and you just have to select what you want, make payment and present the coupon to the staff and your food will arrive in a short while.

I love the system! No communication between us and the japanese.
I don't like the idea of a chicken speaking to a duck.
Alright, maybe there was a little communication when the staff asked us if we want water or tea.

I totally love my lunch!
The beef is a total dope! And not forgetting the spicy tofu soup.
Why everything at Tokyo taste so good?

Took JR line to Uneo to visit a tourist spot - Ueno Park.
It's actually a very big park but we didn't really walk around the enitire park due to time constraint, I'm not a park person anyway.

After snapping some photos at Ueno park, we set off to Ameyokocho.
I totally regretted going there on a Sunday as its freaking CROWDED.
I was totally turned off by the crowd that I can't stand being squeezed and pushed around that i decided to leave the place despite only spending 30mins there.

There are many interesting stuffs selling at the street but I wasnt in the right mood to shop at that point of time. It's a such a pity. We wanted to come back again the next day (Mon) where the crowd would be lesser but we didn't had the time to do so :(

Asakusa next!

I love Asakusa even though it's very touristy and that all the shops are selling similar stuffs.

Don't be deceived by the look of the mochi look alike thingy with peanut coating, it's the most digusting thing that I ever ate in Tokyo.

The fortune cats at Asakusa comes in different forms,expressions, shapes and sizes!
Jeff bought a fortune cat for me which somehow looks a bit like tiger becos of its colour to remind me of him when I see it at work (His horoscope is tiger).

It's only 4+pm and the sky was so dark already.

This pretty and friendly staff at Samantha Thavasa Petite (Ueno Station) had served me well!

We had no time to waste and rushed down to Akihabara (aka electric town) and limited ourselves to spend not more than 1.5 hours there.

We popped over to First Avenue at Tokyo Station but the shops were closing by the time we reached there :(

Had late dinner at Ikebukuro again and we decided to go for sushi.

Tried cold sakae for the first time in my life and I doubt I will ever have it again.
It's as disgusting as drinking absolut Vodka neat.

The waitress there can speak good english and basic mandarin! Thumbs up!

Was walking back to the hotel and someone distributed tissue + heat pack to me.
The heat pack came at the right time as we ran out of heat packs and refused to buy more as we were going back to SG in 2 days time.

If you have noticed, the stuffs that I buy gets lesser as days goes by.
2 main reasons:
1) I've bought enough during the first few days
2) The hole in my pocket got bigger and bigger

Alright, I have something to confess. I have yet to colleage the photos for day 7 and 8 which I hope I can do so by this weekend. But in the meanwhile I will take a short break on my tokyo trip entries and blog about christmas 2010 instead since I've already collaged the photos and uploaded to photobucked.

Please be patient with me.
As you know, working life is sucky most of the time and it slows me down.

Tokyo Trip Part V - Day 5 (Harjuku + Shibuya)

I was wearing the new shawl with hoodie that I bought from Harajuku the day before (Day 4), hoping that it will keep be warm enough (everybody who was wearing it on the streets don't like they're freezing all) but i was wrong. I was freezing the entire day, esp at night.

My hands were freezing and I dont have any pocket to slip my hands in :(
Thank god I brought my gloves out that day.

While our memories were still quite fresh on Harajuku, we decided to head back there to search for Headporter store even though that's not part of the itinerary. But we figured out that it would be better to search for the shop when the sky is still bright and sunny than to find it again when its dark.

We finally found it with the help from a policeman who gave us directions but the opening hours are 12 - 8pm so we went to Burberry Blue Label and Black label first before heading back to Headporter again.

Make a guess on the bag that I've bought.
(hint: I'm going to save it for CNY)
No prize for the correct ans though. ha

And I managed to convince the boyfriend to buy a black label sling bag too! (I'm such an evil girlfriend). But I swear it wasn't hard to convince him in the first place, he just need someone to push him to buy. haha.

But nevertheless, I still love you.

The shop has ground and basement level and both levels were filled with people even at 1pm. Don't Japanese have to work?

For a moment I wish that I have an iPad so that I can buy the cute iPad case from Headporter.

We gave up on a proper lunch to save time and snacked on crepes instead.
The crepes are AWESOME! Even nicer than those selling in Bangkok!!!

We were behind time again and headed to Shibuya right away.

According to a famous story, the dog waited for his master every day in front of Shibuya Station, and continued to do so for years even after his master had passed away. (awwww....)

Both of us were still very worn out from all the walkings and our heavy paper bags even after a 40mins rest at Mcdonalds (we even dozed off. opps)

Our moods were lit up immediately after we put all our ~~burdens~~ paper bags inside the locker.

At that point of time I felt that locker is the greatest invention ever.

We were both recharged to continue the battle! yay!

I prefer the streets than the shopping malls at Shibuya.
But Shibuya 109 is really a paradise for girls with abt 7 levels (excluding b1 and b2, madness)

Saw this Doraemon series at 1 of the sports shops along the streets

We stumbled upon Disney Store and the stuffs there are cuter and more exiciting than those at Disneyland.

The penny machine actually engraves the word 'shibuya' on the penny, a little more unique than having tokyo disneyland engraved on it in my opinion.

Our late dinner at a random udon place at Ikebukuro again.

I'm never a fan of udon but to my surprise its very nice after dipping the udon with the special sauce given.

Tokyo Trip Part IV - Day 4 (Meji Shrine + Shopping at Harajuku)

We were looking forward to Day 4 as its the day that we can officially start SHOPPING after 2 days straight of Disney. But we overslept again. Not going to blame anyone here, i guess both of us were too tired.

I don't quite understand the craze of Auntie Annie in Tokyo.
And the queue was much longer in the afternoon and evening.

The first store that I stepped inside at Harajuku was the drug store, which is also my fav store in Tokyo. I went in almost all the drug stores that i've walked past and did not get sick of them.
But the boyfriend thought otherwise.

(evidence to the satellite gf that i've tried my best to find her leg patches! haha)

Disney mobile phones!

How i wish i can bring back a clamshell phone from tokyo.
I used to love clamshell phones (esp Samsung), but after the introduction of touch screen phones, I hardly see clamshell phones in sg anymore. booo

It took us about 10 mins to walk to Meji Shrine and its not too difficult to find though we made a U-turn somewhere. ahem.

Proceeded to the ritual cleansing of hands and mouth

We saw a Japanese couple who actually drank the water from the dipper. so unhygienic!
i can convince myself to close 1 eye if they are from China but they are Japanese which made me feel even more disgusted.

We wrote our wishes.

Hope our wishes will come true even though we ~~as cheapskates~~ didnt purchase the 'board' at 550yen and chose to write on the paper and envelope provided.

My stomach was growling even before we completed Meji Shrine and I was grumbling throughout. Went to the nearest place which serves food - Apple Tree.

Its damn good!

Went Le Ponte after filling my stomach.
It's a very small shopping mall with a few interesting shops

my fav is gonna be takeshita street with lots of shops.
Stores selling crepes, Liz Lisa, Daiso, Paris Kids etc

the daiso in Tokyo is so much more exciting than Singapore.

But im glad i managed to stop myself from buying too much rubbish from Daiso.

I'm a failure in acting cute but do not judge the drink with my face.
I love it and it reminds me of wang wang canned milk

Bought a 22 inch luggage to put my stuffs which were too heavy to carry around till late night.
I figured out that I shouldn't continue to deceive myself that I had enough space in the luggage that I brought to Tokyo to bring all my stuffs back to Singapore

We tried very hard to find Headporter at Harajuku but to no avail. Out of desperate, Jeff went into Fred Perry to ask for directions and they provided the best service even though we didnt buy anything. The staffs even went the extra mile to google Headporter location etc and even drew a map for us.

We were so touched that we really wanted to buy something from the store but there's nth that caught our eyes which is within our budget.

But still we cant find Headporter and they sky was really dark and we sort of gave up.

Stumbled upon Kiddy Land while trying to find Headporter

For a moment I felt that I was really in Rilakkuma Land.
I was really tempted to get the Rilakkuma eletronic pet device but its in japanese so i dropped the idea.

For another moment i felt that I was in Hello Kitty land

And if you are wondering, NO i didnt not get crazy at Kiddy Land.

Headed back to Ikebukuro after all the shops at Harajuku had closed and went for our late dinner nearby our hotel.

I realised Japanese like their food to be a little more salty which happens to be my preference too.

And now, my loots of Day 4:

Couple tee with the bf from Comme Des Garcons, which is also the most expensive tee shirt in my life. 5500yen for female and 5700yen for male.

Bought quite a few stockings cos they are cheap and cute (approx SGD3.50)
And I gotten a free stocking from the shop (cos of promotion i think?)
I love Harajuku!

Accessories from Paris Kid's.
Dont ask me why I bought earrings in the same design.
I can't buy all diff designs for my friends cos I will end up keeping all for myself.

The sweet boy surprised me with a X'mas card when the clock striked 12 O'clock which made me felt guilty cos i didn't prepare a xmas card for him.

I was really tired and about to doze off anytime when the card was presented to me actually, but i pretended to be wide awake and read the card throughly though i read it briefly.haha.

Tokyo Trip Part III - Day 3 (Disneyland)

The day started off with both of us waking up late and had our breakfast buffet provided the b with the same spread of food.

The stupid boy said that I look good in this photo cos my face cant be seen clearly.

Its quite hard to find a dustbin in public. Jeff walked all the way from our hotel to the station but no dustbin to be found along the way and he had to hold 2 cups of instant noodles throughout until he found a 'live dustbin' - a sweeper. haha

It's a public holiday (Emperor's bday) and the train was almost empty

We reached Disneyland by foot instead of taking the disneyline train.
Thank god Disneyland is walkable (abt 5mins) unlike Disneysea which is too far to walk.

Chip and dale Tree House!

This will be a quick entry as there's nothing much to talk about Disneyland.
Disneysea is much more enjoyable.
So its pictures time!

I love fireworks but it lasted for only 5 mins or so.

A little disappointed with the fireworks cos I rem HK disneyland's fireworks lasted for 10mins at least.

Left Disneyland at 10pm after rushing our last ride at Space mountain which I can never get sick of it.

So many items on the menu that I wanted to try but there were only 2 of us :(

The food straps that were given free with every upsized meal are damn cute!

The only stuffs that I've bought on Day 3.
All of them are as gifts for friends except for the camera strap and fuji instax mini film

My dearest boyfriend hung the gingerbread mickey mouse strap on his phone immediately. heh

I guess I'm a little worn out from blogging 2 entries in a row.

Tokyo Trip Part I - Day 2 (Disneysea)

Initially I wanted to lump disneysea and disneyland together but there are too many photos on both days so I decided to split up the entry.

Waking up at 7.15am on a holiday trip is quite crazy but i'm kiasu enough to wake up that early.

Breakfast buffet by the b. Not exactly a wide variety but its decent (and its free).

But they serve the same thing EVERY day.

Regretted wearing a scarf to breakfast cos its a little warm with the heater around. haha.

Took JR East service and transferred at keiyo line to Maihama. The walking part is crazy, took us about 10mins by foot to transfer to keiyo line.

The total travel time took us almost 1 hour (inclusive of walking) and finally we reach Disney resort line! I felt cheated cos we need to pay addtional 250yen per trip to get to disneysea.
And not forgetting that we have to pay addtional 250yen (which sums up to a total of 500yen) to get out of Disneysea.

I find HK disneyland trains cuter as they have cartoon figurines inside the cabin but tokyo trains only have mickey mouse handles and windows.

Almost everyone, be it young or old is carrying a Duffy or/and Shelliemay plush toy in their hands and walked around.

Jeff and I don't want to be odd one out and bought a plush keychain to hang on our bag. haha.

On his bag is duffy plush keychain and shelliemay on mine.

My first ever time seeing a Marie mascot.

There were long queue EVERYWHERE!!! The first queue that we joined is for the lottery ticket to the Chrismas Wishes show.
And thank god we got the tickets

Christmas Wishes was pretty entertaining but the sun was scorching hot and my eyes can barely open. Thank god i brought my sunglasses out.

Disney is bias. Chip has a gf but not dale.
There's only 1 female chipmunk throughout and she's always sticking to chip so i assume she's chip's gf. I feel sad for dale somehow cos he's my fav chipmunk. so unfair!
Disney please give dale a girlfriend too!

First ride of the day - Tower of Terror
The queue was quite a terror too, not less than 1 hour.

We were brought to a room to watch a short clip before the ride which was in Japanese. Basically everything is in japanese which can be quite annoying.

The ride totally freaked the hell out of me. I almost twisted the boy's neck when i was finding something to grab. hahaha.

Seriously my expression which was being captured at the climax is somehow similar to the frightened mickey mouse plush. No Joke.

I love the popcorns at Disneysea!
They have flavours like milk tea, chocolate, curry, blackpepper etc.
My fav is milk tea followed by blackpepper.

I'm cursing myself now as im looking at these photos for not buying the popcorn in duffy bucket. But its like sgd30+ for it. hmm.
If you've realised, i'm falling into the duffy curse.

Had late lunch at Cape Cod Cook Off.

The price is rather reasonable as there's a free Duffy Show to watch while you are having your meal.

and not to mention that the quality of the food is actually not bad.

Even the spatula at Disneysea can be so cute!

I bought a caramel mousse dessert which comes with a shelliemay cup which i can bring home for souvenir. But its still lying ard in my house now actually.

The sun sets very early at Tokyo. at 5pm the sky looks like its 8pm.

Disneysea very enjoyable, much more fun than Disneyland!
Its a pity that I didnt manage to take all the rides due to the crowd and long queues everywhere.

We left Disneysea at 10+pm with our last ride at 9.50pm.

I want to go Disneysea again in the near future! *hint hint to the bf*

My only loots for the day: Many love from Duffy

I bought Shelliemay plush for the boyfriend to give him sweet dreams when im not around and Duffy plush pouch for my cute nephew.
The boyfriend bought Duffy plush for me to give me ~~nightmares~~ sweet dreams too when he's not around. heh

Tokyo Trip Part I - Day 1

I had the earliest flight in my life at 5.35am and we had to reach the airport at 3.35am. Managed to catch a 1 hour nap before I left my house after packing my all my stuffs.

Had a quick breakfast at BK with jeff's friend who drove us to the airport before we set off to the departure gate. Thank god no shops were opened otherwise i can forsee myself spending money even before I reach Tokyo. haha

I regretted eating BK as food was served about 1 hour later after we boarded the Delta plane

And about 3 hours later a sandwich was served. Both the boy and I were too full to eat anything and we kept the sandwich for later part of the day.

After collecting our baggage, we hurried to JR ticket counter to purchase the Narita Express + Suica package. its 5500 yen for a round trip of narita express train with 2000yen of suica card (1500 yen preloaded and 500yen deposit).

The seats are comfy, even more comfy then the airplane. ha.

The journey on the express train was about 1 hour 15mins from the airport to Ikebukuro. We were freezing immediately once we alighted from the train. gosh. Thank god the hotel is only a 5-7mins walk from the station and its easily located.

Check in was a breeze as the staff speaks decent english. Thanks to the satellite gf for her recommendation!

What you see on the website is what you get

The handwash provided in the bathroom is shiseido and the shower foam and shampoo are kao. You can choose not to bring toiletries if you are comfortable using kao actually, they are quite decent.

We quickly settle down, unpack our stuffs and took a quick shower before shopping at Ikebukuro.

I love elevators with mirrors, esp full length so that I can camwhore.
E.g. I can camwhore while waiting for jeff to wear his jacket.

I've been wanting it for the longest time but we figured out that I should wait to buy it in tokyo as its cheaper, about SGD156.

Checked out blue label at Seibu but decided to wait till we go to the bigger store at Harajuku to decide which bag to buy.

We ended the night pretty early as the stores mostly opened till 9pm only. I thought that we will have an early night but it ended at 1am. All thanks to me cos I was uploading photos for day 1 and collaging the photos. But I was too tired to blog on the night itself and crashed on the bed.

I'm back from Ramenland

Hello peeps, im back!

The trip is awesome except for the cold weather which caused lots of rashes on my stomach, hands and legs. The boyfriend's campanion during the trip made the rashes a little better.

I've just finished uploading photos, will blog soon i hope!

Actually i've already collaged day 1 photos when on the first night when I was at Tokyo and wanted to blog on day 2.But I was soooooooo tired every day that i concussed every single night.
I sprained (minor sprain) my ankle on the 3rd day but i fought the battle and carried on walking non stop every day, every night and only seeked help from the chinese physician this afternoon.

Spent about $4k on shopping and expenses (food and train rides), but looking back at the photos on the things that I've bought at Tokyo, I wonder where did the $4k went to? hmm..

Cheryl's Bday Celebration at Dozo

Celebrated my satellite gf's bday in advance at Dozo with the usual clique. Its a pity that our fav boy couldn't make it.

And as expected, Eugene was late and the last to reach. booo

Chenghui booked a private room specially for his girlfriend.

The 7 course dinner

All the dishes were recommend by the waiter.

1) Starter platter

2) Seasonal Sashimi Platter (cold dish)

3) Foie Gras Chawanmushi with black truffle slice (side dish)

4) Crab bisque cuppuccino style (soup)

5) Beef Tenderloin on hot stone (main)

6) Warm chocolate cake served with ice cream (dessert)

7) Iced grapefruit glory (drinks)

I love the warm chocolate cake, especially the oozing part.
The thought of it and by looking at the picture now is making me drool.

The food there is good but I was expecting a good service for the price that ~~i've~~ jeff paid. but sad to say, the service there is a little dispapointing. We requested 4 times for them to change 1 of the spoiled chair and it was only being changed on the 4th time. goodness.

But at least they bother to surprise the birthday girl with a complimentary tart
(is that a tart?)

Crystal Jade Xiao Long Bao Steamboat Buffet with XTT

I didn't know that there are now 3 different time slots for the xiao long bao steamboat buffet until I recently went with XTT.

We chose the 7.45pm to 10pm seating at $19.80++.

Surprisingly the seating from 5 - 7.30pm is more expensive at $24.80+. Who on earth eats dinner so early? The cheapest time slot is 10.15pm to 12am. Only at $16.80+. But it's damn sinful to eat steamboat buffet at that hour. Imagine steamboat for supper. Total madness.

To our surprise, Anthony was the first one to reach Holland Village. I was expecting him to be the last few to reach actually. haha

I love the dan dan soup base. Not many will like though.

And since its free flow xiao long ba, we ordered freely.
I ate a total of 10 xiao long baos. hehe

Kenneth and Xiaoyuan were damn sweet to buy Chole a cupcake as a surprise for her belated bday!

and Chloe was nice enough to share a bite of the cupcake with me.

A day out with my loved ones on 3rd Dec

The day started off with shopping with BBFs. All of us happened to took leave on that day to run errands and we met up as early as 10.45am for Prada sale (kiasu I know) but too bad we didnt see anything that we like.

Ruyu and I ended up buying a bag at the Burberry section at Takashimaya. It wasnt an impulse buy (I think) and its really a good deal. 30% + 10% for taka card holders!

I like the divider inside which makes my bag less messy.

Dinner at MOB - Most Original Burgers. We had a $10 voucher which is $20 value. ButI dont think I will patronise MOB in future even with a 50% off voucher.

Alright, i got to hit the sack soon. My luggage is only half packed. Thank god I'm not working tmr so that I can continue packing.

Will try to finish blogging tmr afternoon when i'm back from my mani+ pedi otherwise I will have many backlogs when i'm back from Tokyo.

I've been really busy lately with work and planning my itinerary as the trip just next tuesdy. I'm so happy that my itinerary is 80% done, just need to 'touch up' a little and I'm all ready to go!

Big THANK YOU to the boyfriend for assisting me with the itinerary (though most of the work is still done by me. Oops.)

thank god my f21 stuffs have finally arrived in Singapore otherwise I really don't know what to do with the pair of boots that I've ordered if the stuffs were to arrive after I go Tokyo.

Lots of packing to be done and I need to empty my luggage which is filled with a little of bkk and Macau loots.

X'mas is coming again and I'm totally in a holiday mood now.

(no mood to work. opps)

I'm getting more and more excited as my Tokyo trip is approaching. And im glad that the boyfriend is helping me with the itinerary this time round. He usually leaves all the planning and research process to me which is very energy draining most of the time.

We went orchard last friday to search for presents but we ended up shopping for ourselves. Nothing new actually.

And I'm so excited when I saw the Tokidoki collection at Sephora (taka)!!!!! Not much variety as compared to sephora online but its enough to make me a happy ~~girl~~ woman!

I bought this iPhone case 3GS and i hope its not on impluse. But I really felt that I NEED to buy it cos its the last one on shelf

I also bought this Mozzarella eyeshadow palatte at Sephora last Friday. I don't use eyeshadow, but once again its the last one on shelf and I felt the need to buy it. haha.

The eyeshadow palette comes with a cute Mozzarella figurine at the bottom compartment of the case. I have yet to decide what to do with the figurine though.

The honey toast (hanito) at Waraku Pasta is surprisingly good. Ordered 2 as there's a 1 for 1 promo for DBS debit/credit cards.

It's a pity that the photographer doesn't have the skill to make us look good with this cute x'mas tree. Or rather, the tree doesn't look good in this photo too.

I love this Hada Labo travel set!
Just in time for the cold weather in tokyo as the products are really very hydrating.
The down side is that I have to waste extra 20secs to pat the lotion onto my face to absorb.
It can be quite a dread esp when i'm rushing out in the morning. Or maybe I'm just lazy.

The mask is $3.90 each which is a steal as the original price of the masks is $21.90 per box for 4 pcs. But erm its a little sticky for my liking, i will just stick to My Beauty Diary masks

2nd Anniversary Celebration Part III - 2D1N Batam Trip

It was supposed to be a surprise trip for the boyfriend but I ended telling him beforehand about it in case he has any objection to my plan. But anyway I told him about the trip AFTER i booked and made payment to the travel agency so there's nothing he can do actually. ha

It was my virgin Batam trip.

I booked the trip from www.asiatravel.com and everything was a breeze.
We travelled from Habourfront terminal via Batamfast to Waterfront city terminal. The journey took approx 1 hour. I was freezing on the ferry with no cardigan/jacket and i conveniently ~~stole~~ borrowed from Jeffrey.

Transport was provided to our hotel (Holiday Inn) from the ferry terminal and it only took us less than 10 mins.

It was quite a mad rush for us as we had to check in and unpack our stuffs while the driver from Isabella Massage House was waiting for us at the lobby.

I booked the couple massage package from Isabella Massage House via email which includes 2 way transport (from hotel to Isabella & Isabella to wherever you want). What a good deal!

We were greeted by the friendly receptionist who can speak decent english
(but not the masseurs)

The couple room is quite decent, its about the size of a HDB room with dim lightings.

We opted for the package below:

Thai Massage + Body Scrub + Ear candle for Rp 790.000 (approx SGD116) per couple.
Its only about SGD58 pax for a 3 hours treatment. CHEAP!!!

We chose to do the massage first, followed by scrub instead of the usual routine of scrub and then massage. The massage is awesome (though my bones cracked like mad) and both of us fell asleep during the ear candle treatment but sad to say, the body scrub is mediocre.

The good thing about Isabella is that we do not have take the 2nd free transport immediately after the treatment. Both of us went Nagoya Hill to shop and i did my mani + pedi there as well. Even with OPI nail colour, i would say that the result of the mani and pedi is lousy. But I shall stop complaining since its cheap, its about SGD26 for full mani and pedi.

We proceed to Mahatari Department Store located on the ground level and that's the place that i bought Revlon ColorStay at Rp115.000 (approx SGD17) instead of the retail price of SGD29.90 and Maybeline Volume Express at Rp 50.000 (approx SGD 7.30) instead of the retail price of SGD17.90.

We went back to Isabella after 2 hours at Nagoya Hill to hitch a ride to A1 for our seafood dinner.

I hereby ~~recomonded~~ recommend Isabella to my friends and blog readers
Thumbs up for their wonderful service, esp the free transport.

It's just a 5 mins drive to A1 from Nagoya.

Jeff was overjoyed when aston villa vs man utd match was screening on the huge projector.
and on the other side, there's a stage with live singing performance.

The place is like newton hawker centre with many stalls for you to choose from.
We settled for Hai San seafood as recommended online.

The prices are not stated on the menu, but trust me, you don't have to know the price at all.

The best part of the night was that Isabella Massage House sent someone to pick us up from A1 to send us back to Holiday Inn. Excellent service! that's really a plus point for us cos the taxi fare in batam isn't cheap.

Finally had the time to take photos around our room after all the mad rush in the day

the couch in the living room is damn comfy, it's those which can make your butt sink in.
and i love the idea of having an iron board + iron in the room even though i didnt get the chance to use it.

I ought to be shot cos I destroyed the hair dryer and I even had the cheek to ask the technician to come to my room to inspect and change a new one for me at 12.30am.
What made me real guilty was that the technician smiled and said goodnight to me after he replaced the hair dryer even though its already midnight. Excellent service!

Sometimes i'm jealous of the boyfriend cos he look prettier than me when i'm without make up.
On evil days/nights, i have the evil thought of cutting his eyelashes so that they will be shorter than mine. *evil laughter*

Our initial plan was to suntan/swim after our breakfast but too bad the weather wasn't good and we went back to sleep. haha.

There's a Polo shop at the lobby itself but that isn't the authentic Polo Ralph Lauren. It's an indonesia brand 'Polo Company'. It can be quite deceiving cos the designs are quite simliar.

We took a cab to Batam Centre instead of getting the free ride to waterfront city ferry terminal cos i decided to do some last min shopping at Hypermart and i was craving for A&W.

I felt that A&W fried chicken wings are the best in Bangkok and KL makes nicer ice-cream waffle. The only thing that tasted normal in Batam A&W is the root beer float (in which the silly staff served it in a paper cup instead of a glass mug)

What comes next after a bloated lunch?
it's shopping at Hypermart!!

If you think that this is an enjoyable trip, allow me to share with you my sufferings (which jeff begged me not to tell the whole world about it)

1) Forgetful is his middle name
2) He forgot to bring packets of tissue for the entire trip. thank god there were 2 pkts of tissue in my bag and I had to use them sparingly.
3) He made me waited for 15mins while he's shitting when we were rushing to the departure hall
4) He need to shit badly and urgently because he drank milk in the morning (even knowing that he will have stomache when he drinks milk)
5) and because we were slightly late, I had to stand while carrying my heavy baggage at the departure hall
6) Before heading to Isabella for our massage, i reminded him to bring along my cosmectic pouch (which contained my make up remover wipes in it) but he FORGOT about it.
7) I came to know about it when i wanted to take a quick shower at Isabella after the massage
8) I had to use Lux shower cream to wash my face to remove the mascara and eyeliner.
9) i came out from the shower looking like a panda with smudges of the eyeliner and mascara below my eyes.
10) I can't brush my hair cos my hairbrush was inside my cosmectic pouch which he forgot to bring it out
11) brushing my hair is impt cos thats the best thing i can do when there isn't any hair dryer provided at Isabella
12) I was looking for my SK2 essence at night after a good clean shower at the hotel but to no avail
13) And as expected jeff forgot to bring it from his house even though i've reminded him

Even with all the 13 unhappy issues, i've enjoyed the anniversary trip with the boy very much

2nd Anniversary Celebration Part II - Lawry's Prime Rib

Our initial plan was to go Universal Studios on our actual day but the plan failed cos Jeff's leave was rejected due to some reasons (shall skip my grandmother story on that). I even bought discounted tickets at 30% off with Yanxuan's help but I had to sell it to my colleague in the end. The consolation is at least I manage to sell the tickets away.

It was quite a dread to work on our 2nd anniversary but we don't have a choice.

The boyfriend brightened up my day with a surprise bouquet of roses!

the florist's delivery man is as silly as my boyfriend who called me in the morning to confirm my office address and my available time. ha

But nevertheless I still love the flowers (though I dont fancy flowers in general)

The anniversary dinner was at Lawry's Prime Rib.
I chose that place because my 1-1 main course voucher is expiring on 31st Dec 2010. Opps.

Both of us ordered Lawry's cut which is supposed to be the most popular cut, served with free flow of bread, spinning bowl salad, mashed potato and bread pudding. But I don't remember that so many side dishes were being served when I was there 2 years ago.being a smart alec I ordered addtional sizzling mushrooms and baked potato.

Both of us were bloated even before we finish up everything, but still we jeff managed to clear all the dishes.

Knowing that the special occasion that evening is our 2nd anniversary, they served us a complimentary cake.

And took a photo for us,'framed' it up almost immediately and gave it to us.
Not forgetting that Lawry's also sent us the soft copy via email.

It's really sweet and thoughtful of Lawry's with the complimentary cake and the photo. Needless to say, their service is excellent!

The dinner ended with this x'mas lawry's cow. Dont you think that its quite cute? heh

I enjoyed our dinner very much and its totally worth the price we paid for (all thanks to DBS Black card 1-1 voucher. yay!)

The bill was reduced from $190.60 to $135.65

Both of us took leave 1 day before the actual day of our 2nd anniverary to 'pa tor'. Thak god Jeff managed to get the free pass for Science Centre cos its a last min plan. The best thing about going Science Centre is that its near my place and the next best thing is that its FREE. haha

It started 3 years ago when we (Lifen, Ruyu and I) took sticker photos at Cineleisure on Ruyu's 22nd Bday. We wanted to scribble BFF on the photo but silly me scribbled BBF instead. But its not a bad mistake after all.

I was totally freaked out by this pair of twins cos I didnt know that they were real only until they took a step forward when I wanted to take photo with them.

We didnt wait long for the tram ride, probably about 15mins. But we were sitting right in front and NO ghost jump out to scare us at all. How sad.

The ride was rather boring for us but I heard screamings from the back, I guess they were having much fun being scared out of their lives. haha

I haven start doing research on my tokyo trip and that's really not so me. But my excitement is increasing every day for sure. Can't wait to go on my compliance leave and take a long break from my work. Work is making old.

Speaking about work, i'm still upset that 2 of my colleagues had left. sigh. and another 1 of my close colleague is on leave for 7 working days.

Had dinner with my (ex) colleagues at Long Xia Zhou - 1 for 1 lobster porridge for DBS card, promo ending end of Sept.

Photos were taken with iPhone 4, and i'm in love with the front camera. I'm so tempted to get it. But before i can get it, I need to convince the boy to buy it too otherwise he will accuse me for dumping our couple phone. I shall wait for the white one in the meanwhile. heh.

Met jeff rather late at night after his lesson because its Mid Autumn Festival. And he fulfilled my little wish of carrying lanterns, like how I used to when I was a kid. And most of the time i ended up lighting up many candles and start burning random things, including lantern and leaves. Those were the days...

Jeff said that the lantern that he bought for me is strawberry shortcake.
But why I don't feel the same?
it looked like a cheena chinese small girl instead.

I hope I wont be carrying the same lantern next year but I have a feeling that it's going to happen cos he kept those lanterns at the end of the night instead of throwing them away. goodness. I want Rilakkuma or Hello Kitty lantern next year. Please?

Hoohah Cafe

I can't get to sleep and decided to write a short entry on hoohah cafe that I went last Sunday. For those who are following me on Twitter will know that my mission to Hoohah cafe was to accompany the bf to watch Man utd vs Liverpool match.

It wasn't a bad experience as I witnessed 'bicycle kick' for the first time and i was amazed.

Hoohah cafe is located at pasir panjang village and the best part is that it's less than 15 mins bus ride from my house and they accept reservations even on weekends. I managed to get a table indoor which is near the tv. Outdoor tables are available as well.

(it's awesome!)

Tenderloin steak with black pepper sauce (a signature dish that is not to be missed)

The steak is thick and juicy. Even when it's medium rare, it's not 'unchewable' like some other places.

(i rem it taste better in the past, good to share for 4 pax)

Cheese baked escargot
(the cheese makes it this a sinful dish but it's worth all the fats)

The huge mango frozen margarita is enough for 2 pax.

I don't mind accompanying the boy to watch soccer again if it's at hoohah cafe.

The Macau Getaway

I was telling myself that I should strike the iron when its hot to blog about this trip before I cannot be botherd with it.

This trip was planned for boy's bday, a short getaway since my bday was also spent out of sg.

The air tickets was a steal with Jetstar 1 for 1 promo which cost us only $135 nett pax for a return trip. I love Jetstar!

We had a quick lunch at Coffee Bean so that I can have more time to shop at Terminal 1.

I regretted for not buying the hello kitty keychain at Harrods :(
Shouldn't have listen to Jeff's advice and go ahead with my fav qoute 'when in doubt, just buy'

The flight was quite a smooth one which took about 3.5 hours.

One thing good about Macau airport is that the clearance is very fast, it only took us only abt 5 mins. There are many cabs at the taxi stand and it only took us about 15mins to reach out Hotel - Hotel Royal Macau.

We checked into the deluxe room that we've booked but were not satisfied. The room is rather small and there's no bathtub. I was too tired and lazy to be a dispute customer and I delegate the task to the boyfriend who did a wonderful job and we managed to upgrade our room to premier for FREE! YAY!

The room is bigger than deluxe, even the wardrobe and television is also bigger. The toiletries that was provided is by Aigner.

It was almost 7pm by the time we settled down and went out for dinner. The first meal that we had at Macau was Mcdonalds because of this Hello Kitty Cosplay party which made me wanna get them.

apart from the hello kitty which got me so excited, the availability of the shaker fries made me got a little too hyped up over the counter.

One downside of Macau is that the shops over there close rather early. It can be as early as 8.30pm. By 9pm most of the shops would have been closed except for Koi Kei Bakery (钜记) which was still opened when I was there at 9.30pm.

Despite the fact that both of us were damn bloated, we couldnt resist Yee Shun Milk Eatery when we finally found it.

We tried sth new - coconut milk drink and that will be the first and the last time we order it.

Day 2

The day started early, as early as a normal working day in SG. The poor boy didnt manage to stay in bed for long as I was his human alarm clock, and a strict one too.

Had breakfast at a random cha chan ting within a stone's throw from our hotel.

We cabbed to Venetian cos we missed the shuttle bus from our hotel :(

I love Venetian, not just the decoration with the victorian feel, but also the shops there.

Jeff was damn excited when he saw Chocolate boutique cos intially he was lamenting that we should go HK so that he can patronize Chocolate.

We walked over to City of Dreams from Venetian, thinking that it might be another shopping place. but sad to say, we only spent 30mins over there and took advantage of the free shuttle bus to the border gate to cross over to Zhu Hai.

The journey was only abt 15mins.
(you may proceed to the basement of City of Dreams for the free shuttle bus)

Zhu Hai underground shopping mall is like a battlefield, even more crazy than platinium mall

I had giddy spells when I was there because of too many shops and the humid weather.

Rested our feet and had our late lunch at mian cafe (basement)

This place is highly recommended by me!

The boy ordered chicken ramen with milk soup and my order was beef ramen in red wine soup
Both are under chef's recommendation, and now Rina's recommendation too

Remember to try the fried dumplings with cheese under the side dish category.
Trust me, you will not regret it.

Shopping at Zhu Hai is quite simliar to bkk, except that you need to bring down the price to 70% for the clothes for some of the shops. The prices that the shop owners quote is sky high and it will become drastically low after you step away from the shop. But of cos, there are also some shops which is at nett price.

The cleanest toilet that i've found so far at Zhu Hai is at Mcdonalds (at lotus road - lian hua lu). I don't dare to step into the cubicle inside the toilet of underground mall cos the smell made me wanna puke when i was just standing outside the toilet, washing my hands at the basin.

We spent about 5 hours at Zhu Hai and by the time we reached Macau it's already 10++pm. We went to the Wynn's casino and played the simplest game of all - Big Small. .
We won $100, but its in HKD. haha.

It's the boyfriend's bday when the clock striked 12 O'clock when we reached the hotel.

I tried to surprise him with a bday card and a cookie
(didnt manage to buy a cake and i bought the cookie in sg the day before we left and hid it in my luggage. thank god it didnt break into pieces)

Not sure if he was surprised or not, he didnt tell me :(

I bought the most pratical bday gift ever, im such a pratical gf

The MS office 2010 was meant to be a surprise as the EA shades was given to him way before his bday.
I wonder which gf on earth will give such a MS office 2010 as a bday present to her bf.

Day 3
The day started early as usual with breakfast at Yee Shun Milk Eatery which is just across the street.

The pork chop bun at Yee Shun is yummy!

Went back to our hotel to pack up our remaining stuffs before we checked out and walked over to Senado Square to see if we've missed anything out.

It's not easy to take a good shot together when there's only 2 of us travelling.
Sometimes in order to have a nice shot of us, jeff has to return the kind favour for whoever has taken photo for us

We took a public bus to our next destination for the bday boy's bday lunch

Restaurant Litoral was recommended online for authentic portugese meal

The complimentary bread is cripsy of the outside, soft on the inside

Mushroom soup with crab meat - Must try!

African chicken - a portugese dish that you cannot miss

Codfish Fried Rice
The portion is rather big, good to share among 2-3 pax

Egg yolk souffle - not really nice so dont bother to try

Serradura - Biscut Mousse
The highlight of the meal

It's quite pricey but its worth every penny since its jeff's special day

We had some time left before we catch our flight and decided to walked over to Ah Ma temple which is just a few mins away.

This is my first time visiting a temple when im overseas
(im a free tinker by the way)

and many local snacks from Koi Kei Bakery

I think i bought quite a bit and they throw in a packet of saseme biscuit

That's the end of my Macau Trip and I really ought to be in bed by now, its 2.25am and I got to work tmr. If u spot a walking zombie on the streets tmr, high chances that its me.

Super long weekend

I've just boarded the plane to embark my journey to Macau.

Totally looking forward to my trip and the super long weekend, will only resume work after national day. Yay!

Guess I will just buy lots of masks and snacks back and nth else *keeping fingers* crossed.

Will be dropping by zhu hai for 1 day, wonder how's the shopping there as compared to Bangkok. i changed only sgd100 to RMB, super budget! Haha. Credit cards are evil, I will lock them up in the hotel room together with my cash and hope that I won't bring them out.

Till then, miss me!!

Totally unprepared and I feel that I have lots of things undone.

Got to spend lesser and save more for my 8d7n Tokyo trip in dec. But then again, saying is so much easier than doing.

No luck with job hunting yet. Main reason is i don't know what kind of job to look for. Maybe I should stick with what I'm doing now and bear with everything. That will be my last resort.

Sorry for the hiatus once again. Guess I'm a little too old to blog. I can't imagine myself still blogging when I'm in my 30s.

however I'm trying my best to maintain this little space of mine.

I'm thinking of buying a lightweight digital camera. Any recommendation? I realised that my camera is too heavy for me to carry around everyday and thus the photos that I've been taking are getting lesser and lesser.

The boyfriend is always complaining that i carry stones out every day which added on to the weight of my bag. I seriously got no idea why is my bag so heavy but every item inside my bag seems to be important.

Shall upload jay chou's concert photos when I come back tmr night.

I will be flying to Macau to celebrate the boy's birthday next tues and I have some problems here.

1) I haven finish unpacking my luggage for the Bangkok trip.

2) I haven thought of any surprise or prepare anything for his birthday

3) I need to 'remind' my manager that I'm travelling again. It's a challange cos this is the 3rd month that i will be taking annual leave to go for a short trip. (June - genting, July - Bangkok, Aug - Macau).

I'm thinking of switching job soon. Wish me luck.

Even though I had already gruaduated, but SIM - UOL is still haunting me. Approx 1 month ago I had a nightmare. I dreamt that I gotten my results and I FAILED more than 2 units and I need to repeat.

let's put the nightmare aside, its just a nightmare after all.

I shamelessly requested a graduation bear from Jeff, and he got me a Hello Kitty instead :)

Goodwood Park High Tea + Crystal Jade Korean BBQ

The boyfriend requested me to blog tonight and I agreed since i'm on leave tmr and don't have to wake up early. heh.

On a random weekday (exactly 1 month ago), I'm was on leave and decided to bring the boyfriend for a treat at Goodwood Park Hotel for its English high tea.

I called to make reservation on the day itself and thank god i managed to get a table.

Trying very hard to have the high tea feel.

the boyfriend was very bothered about his pimple on his right cheek and was in no mood to take photos with me :(

The sandwiches there are to die for

The Crème brûlée is a total dope

Goodwood park actually serves haagan daz ice-cream for their high tea buffet

It was indeed a relaxing afternoon for us :)
(minus the few calls that I received in between)

Okay, its buffet again

This time round its Crystal Jade Korean BBQ located at Centrepoint

It's one of the best BBQ place with great company

(Ruru was late and thus excluded from all of the photos)

The appetizer that comes with it and its free flow

Bascially everything on the menu is free flow, and my fav is pork belly and beef

One thing I like about the place is that it DOES NOT STINK MY HAIR AT ALL!
and i'm surprised that I actually feel rather cold throughout the whole dinner even though its BBQ

Looking at the photos now is good enough to make me drool.
Maybe I should make plans to go there real soon!

Sorry for the long hiatus! I've been caught up with work lately. It's just another excuse for me to lazy to update this space of mine.

I've many photo folders which I haven blog about but i'm really too lazy to backdate those entries. So i guess i'm going to cheat. My next entry would be the recent activities and I will skip important events like my bday and convocation which are dated in March and April respectively. It's way too long and I find it quite pointless to blog about them now.

I'm so freaking bored now at a particular showflat in the east that I've decided to drop by my blog to clear all the dust!!

My fav pair of pumps is giving way and I need to find something to replace it asap.

I will be at malaysia next weekend. One of my short getaway before I go for another short getaway to Macau (again) in Aug. These are the only 2 events that I can look forward for now, japan in dec is too far for me to think and for the fact that I have not book anything yet.

Blackberry bold 2 white is finally in M1 stores after such a long wait. But the wait is so long to the extent that I don't really have the urge to buy it anymore but my work phone (E71) is having some minor probs here and there after abusing it for 1 and a half year.

Alright , this is really a random post. And so... I shall end it adruptly.

Irodori + Imperial Skye Garden

I was craving for steamboat on a random sat and the boyfriend and I ended up at Imperial Skye Garden for steamboat buffet.

Went there once with my colleagues and I totally love it.

There's a variety of soup base for you to choose from but my fav combi is scallop + tomato

The scallop soup base is a total dope.
MUST TRY!!!

The buffet is self-service except for chicken, beef, mutton, pork and crab which you have to order seperately from the staff.

and it has my fav fried man tou (though without the condensed milk like jin deli but at least its soft and cripsy)

Will definetely go back again!

Next on the food hunt is Irodori located at Riverview Hotel.

Was talking about it for the longest time with Jeff but we only managed to patronise the jap restaurant 2 weeks ago on my precious off day. The next best part is that there's a 25% discount for all UOB and OCBC credit cards.

Did I mention that its an ala-carte buffet?

So many things to try but with limited stomach space :(

Well well, it's time to shed some fats off my body now.

Recently i've just started a ~~werid~~ new hair regime which is suggested by the boyfriend for healthier and softer hair.

The steps are as follow:

1) apply conditioner on your hair and wash it off (do not have to leave it on)
2) wash your hair with shampoo
3) apply conditioner and leave it on for 5 mins (may replace conditioner with hair mask/treatment)

I'm going to follow the above steps for 2 weeks to conclude if its a solution to my dry hair or if its a total crap.

It's for good this time round

Caught My Rainy Days earlier on

I enjoyed it very much though its just another typical jap movie with an expected storyline.
There were many scenes which made the whole theatre laughed out loud and the main lead is so kawaii! I was fully fully entertained throughout the entire 2 hours despite being a monday night with all the monday blues.

I found a 1 dollar coin in the bank today. This may sound silly to you but I was kinda excited when I found the coin. haha.
