Happy CNY 2012

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!

It's a pity that the celebration didn't fall on a weekend this year. Well, that doesn't stop the Chinese from welcoming the Dragon Year!

My adorable nephew and I on CNY day 1

Me and my new red bling iPhone case, specially for cny :p

Went visiting with the boy and his family on day 2

Happy New Year!

I decided not to set any resolutions for 2012 since I conveniently forget about them every year.

I'm grateful for all the good things that had happened to me in 2011 and I secretly hope that 2012 would be even better.

I'm looking forward to the big plan on 12/12/12 :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!

Ben & Jerry Chunkfest 2011

Went to Ben & Jerry Chunkfest earlier on at Marina Bay.

Photobucket

The ground was very muddy :(

We tried 2 of the 11 flavours which were specially flown over from overseas for the event.

Coconut something (can't rem e name) and Froyo choco brownie.
Both are awesome but I prefer the coconut one.

Some of the merchandises which were selling at Phish Market.

Photobucket

Faircoins were used at Chunkfest instead of cold hard cash.
Photobucket

One scoop of ice cream cost 6 coins and 2 scoops at 10 coins ($6 and $10).

It's quite easy to be a Chunkpion except for the silly games.
I managed to collect 3 achievements.

Photobucket

1) Try an exclusive flavour
2) Take a photo with Woody the cow

Photobucket

3) Buy some euphoric gear at Phish Market

Guess what I got in here?

Photobucket

Picnic mat - free

Photobucket

Ice cream scoop spoon - $2

Photobucket

Pint cozy - $12
(wrap this cover around the ice cream tub to prevent your hands from freezing)

Photobucket

Cute lip balm - $8 each.
Guess which is my fav flavour from b&j?
(ans: choco cookie dough)

Photobucket

Post it pad - free
(Got it from collecting 3 achievements)

Good bye Chunkfest 2011!
See you in 2012!

Awesome August

August was one of the best months so far in 2011.

Went bali for the boy's birthday (which I will blog it as a seperate entry) and I finally broke up with my ex employer and found a new career path.

Say hello to the many weekends that I've missed and many more to come!!

And of cos, I've been enjoying my weekends to the fullest.

I attended NDP 2011 which is also the first NDP that I ever went in my life.
It's really an eye opener.

I joined in the fun and dressed up in red + white

We dropped by Cold Rock for some yummy ice-cream before heading to Marina Floating Bay.

Photobucket

We were sitted at 5pm and waited for 1 hour under the hot sun before the parade started.

Photobucket

I shall not spam you with photos (except for the fireworks) from NDP since my entry is really outdated and I believe you have already seen nicer photos from facebook etc.

Happy Belated Birthday Singapore!

Jeff found a new place for Jap Buffet and brought me there for a mini celebration for my new job. Together with the satellite gf and xpy, we had a satisfying dinner at Kiseiki (The Heeren B1).

Even though I'm still quite sad that Shokudo is gone for good at Raffles City and The Heeren, I hope that Kiseiki is here to stay for good cos I really love it!

My picks are:

1) Sashimi (Salmon belly, Tuna and Abalone)
2) Pizza
3) Rosti
4) Waffle + Jap ice-cream
4) Hot Plate Ribeye steak

Joyous July Part II (Yx's bday & Mint Toy Museum)

I have the pressure to finish blogging about July before Aug comes to an end, but I will keep it short and simple. Erm, Im just being lazy. haha

Met up with Yanxuan and Ben for yx's bday dinner on the last week of July.
Thanks to darling Lily for her Tung Lok vouchers, we enjoyed the $50 off our bill at Tung Lok Signatures. heh

I think we ordered a little too much for 3pax, we also had soup and dessert which are not included in the collage below.

Didn't manage to take a group photo so this is a cut and paste version. LOL

Tadah!
This is the present that Ben and I bought for yx - Fuji Instax Mini 7s Hello Kitty
(courtesy of your's truly to order it from gmarket)
Photobucket
The packaging made it an awesome gift for all hello kitty fans.
(I'm sure the bday girl is lovin' it!)

I had the honour to be the virgin shot of yx's new camera. hehe

On the very same week (sat), Jeff and I finally squeezed out some time to visit Mint Toy of Museum.

My fav childhood game when I was in pri school.
I used to play it everyday during recess time and after school.

Those were the days....

I shall not bore you guys by flooding my blog with pictures of the toys inside the musem, there are nicer and clearer photos available online.

I was craving for Ding Tai Feng's chilli crab xiao long bao and the boyfriend brought me to the nearest DTF at Raffles City to satisfy my craving before I become a grouchy and angry woman.

Photobucket

Check out the generous chilli crab fillings inside *slurps*

Shall end this post with our boring and classic pose.
